In 1982, Kawasaki captured the minds of all teenagers by releasing the AR125 road bike with a semi-fairing and a square headlight.
Every schoolboy dreamed of this handsome man,because the moped looked like a real sports bike and moved on cast 5-spoke 18-inch wheels, plus the small-sized car and drove very
well!No wonder it was considered the fastest motorcycle in its class at that time!
The heart of the Kawasaki AR125 was a 2-stroke 1-cylinder engine with a poppet intake valve and liquid cooling, with a displacement of 124 cc.
The cylinder bore was 55 mm and the piston stroke was 51.8 mm. The engine operated with a compression ratio of 6.5:1.The powerplant produced 22 horsepower of maximum
power at 9500 rpm. The maximum torque was reached at 8000 rpm and was equal to 16 n. m.
The 24-mm Mikuni carburetor was responsible for the fuel supply. The motorcycle was equipped with a thyristor-capacitor ignition and was started by a kickstarter.The
motorcycle's transmission consisted of a 6-speed transmission and a chain drive.With a dry weight of 106 kg, the baby was able to accelerate to a maximum speed of 130 km / h.
The motorcycle overcame one-fourth of a mile in 18.4 s. The average declared fuel consumption did not exceed 3 liters per 100 km of the way,something with a tank volume of 12.5 liters gave the moped a
fairly good power reserve.
