Benelli Sei,что в переводе с итальянского шесть -это серия мотоциклов, которые были произведены итальянским производителем под руководством Алехандро де Томазо с 1973
по 1989 год.На свет появилось две модели, объемом 750 и 900 куб. см.Де Томазо намеревался сделать их главными спортивными мотоциклами Италии и затмить ,наступающих
по всем франтам японских конкурентов!Benelli 750 Sei был первым серийным мотоциклом с шестицилиндровым двигателем.О нем выпуск выходил

Benelli 900 Sei по сути был копией своего младшего брата ,которому просто увеличили объем двигателя с 748 куб см. до 906 куб.см.Что бы выжать максимум из двигателя,
было внесено главное отличие от Benelli 750 Sei - шикарная выхлопная система с шестью трубами была заменена на более тихую систему 6 в 2!Что естественно совсем
не понравилось покупателям!Поэтому многие после покупки возвращали назад шесть труб,что бы подчеркнуть свой шестицилиндровый мотоцикл!В итоге мощность двигателя
выросла с 71 до 80 л.с.,что не так уж и много.Однако на всех обложках мотожурналов был сделан акцент на максимальную скорость мотоцикла,которая составляла 200 км/ч.
За питание 6-цилиндрового 12-клапанного агрегата с одним распредвалом в головке цилиндра и воздушным охлаждением,отвечали те же три карбюратора Dell'Orto
с 24-миллиметровым диффузором,что и у 750 Sei,хотя можно было поставить и побольше.Видимо производитель не хотел пугать будущих покупателей расходом топлива,который и
так явно занижен в характеристиках и составляет 5.7 л на 100 км пути.Бак объемом 16.5 л.Двигатель естественно запускается элетро-стартером и имеет электронное зажигание.
Трансмиссия была представлена 5-ступенчатой КПП и цепным приводом.
